Bringing together the advantages of modern knowledge and the 400 year old of the conventional violin, the LSD violin is an unique and highly original patented design.

The instrument is customizable : colours, finishes, fittings can be chosen.The large and round piezo transducer pickup is between the bridge and the spruce wood, at the point of tranmission of vibrations. That allows the bridge to move the same way as an acoustic violin. The result is more natural presence. These solid body instrument is very light and comfortable. The shape is stripped but the physical "reference" point of a body is remained.

Based on a stradivarius violin : scale, strings spacing, strings heights, fingerboard angle, body length, corners, lower rib curves, rib dimension, neck, fingerboard...

Violin machine heads : plated steel with a brass cog, the top can be ivory plastic or steel.
Pickup – large and round piezo transducer, preamp or equalizer are not required, this passive system delivers a rich, full sound.

PICKUP

The technical solution chosen to amplify the sound is to capture the vibration at the source, under the bridge because it transmits the vibration to the violin top. The sound is not distorted and this reduces the risk of feedback and noise that occur with acoustic microphones. The system operates without battery, it's more environmentally friendly and eliminates loss of energy. The available output signal of the sensor is a very high, no need to add preamp electronic, this also avoids to add weight to the instrument. The violin can be connected to any type of amplifier (transistor, valve, CMOS ...) or be interfaced with an echo chamber, reverb etc..There is no battery and any pre-amp in our violins because we want a lightest violin and the pre-amp shapes the signal entering your amplifier into a tone. In any basic form, a pre-amp defines the levels of treble, bass, ... functions such as gain, presence, and contour have become standard features of modern amplifiers, and rack-mountable pre-amps usually have many more functions indeed -- like effects processors. Footpedal multi-effects processors are also pre-amps.
